The hotel is very beautiful from the outside and offers great views from all sides. The lobby is huge, but somehow it feels cold and unwelcoming in terms of decor. The room is spacious, very beautiful, and beds comfortable. Everything is extremely clean. It has a historic charm, taking us back in time. The hotel was built in 1912. Very interesting, like traveling to the past. The spa is quite small and not relaxing,, with a small Finnish sauna, a relatively small pool, and two Jacuzzis. For a 5-star hotel, this is quite limited. They offer various hydro massages, massages, and treatments with mineral water. This is nice. Breakfast is good, but if I stayed more than two days, it would quickly become boring. For a 5-star hotel, some variety is needed instead of offering the same options as in most other hotels. They have very tasty prosciutto and Champagne for the breakfast , that is cool :) Bus number 15 goes to the city center and is free for hotel guests. We didn’t try the cable car, so we’re not sure how it works.

I tried second time and confirmed that it was the last. Not sure why it us that popular. Maybe spa procedures are awesome, but for me, it has lack of “personal touch”. Staff if 50/50 good/bad, and if you are not lucky, they will ruin your stay. Sauna is small. On the other hand, everything I requested in advance was done, chef during the breakfast was super useful. But overall - same as last time - I was a bit disappointed by overall feeling. Of I compare it with main competitor down the hill, Imperial is far behind, mostly because of people.

Great hotel, great location ,great legacy. This hotel experienced his gold times on early 20th century. But 21st century didn't arrived...yet. The service level is 3 or 4 stars. Check-in procedures takes very long time, restaurant staff is not trained( no cleaning tables, preparing for new customer, no smile, no minimal welcome hellos,), the breakfast and dinner is faaaar away from 5 stars. The Spa is very small, crowded and absolutely minimalist. The rooms are OK, but is not checked daily for cleaning and coffee and beverage refill ...

Room was spacious and beautifully appointed. Bathroom was also very spacious. Really liked the room entry set up to hang coats, hats, shoes, and umbrellas. One of the owners they called Peter, actually helped our daughter get up the hill by carrying her large suitcase. Then, we received a fruit plate sent to our room. It was lovely and helpful. We are guessing it was from him. He went way above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

Great Place, honestly does not understand why it has only 8,3 rating here. Yes, the place has its age but it is lovely building with garden and amazing view to the city. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Cleanliness was spot on. I would definitely stay there again. Great bonus is the free ticket to hotels own the cableway that connects you directly with the main street.
